I stand in opposition to gay/lesbian marriage. Not because of a hate for gays and lesbians, but because I stand for truth.
I am getting very tired of the IN-YOUR-FACE attitude of the gay/lesbian community. We must change our language, our word definitions, our sex education, our social studies and our laws to make them somehow feel better about themselves. Their hate crimes legislation would give gays preferential treatment and take from the majority of us the right and ability to reject their lifestyle and in-your-face attitude.
Gays and lesbians often say all they want is the protection and rights that marriage gives. When the truth is that just because you are married does not mean you have rights or authority unless you have a written will, a living will and power of attorney. These are the only things they need and a necessary thing for every married couple.
We all have the same rights and protection under the law. If you do not want government in your bedroom just close the door and quit shoving that lifestyle in our faces.
