A recent letter said people supporting President Obama's stimulus plan do so because they have envy. I say, "Not true." I can afford a nicer car, but choose to drive what I've got. I won't skimp on good tires, though! Back to the point: I'm not envious of those with more. And I don't mind paying taxes to create a reasonable safety net for our country. While political sides may disagree on details, all can agree that we are so fortunate to live in this wonderful country, and we really can afford to have good will toward all. Plus, Obama's stimulus plan saves jobs (firefighters and police are just one example), and invests in changing over to modern energy systems that alleviate our dependency on foreign oil. I support President Obama's plans. Not out of envy, but with brotherly love and patriotism.
