Double standard on gay marriage answers

"I do not support gay marriage. Marriage has religious and social connotations, and I consider marriage to be between a man and a woman." (Barack Obama, Human Rights Campaign 2008 presidential questionnaire.)

"I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised." (Carrie Prejean, Miss California, 2009 Miss USA pageant.)

Isn't it ironical that the latter, a "beauty queen," is being crucified in the press while the first, the President of the United States, is being deified?
