FORT BENTON - The Chouteau County attorney's office has identified the victim and suspect in a Thanksgiving Day shooting in Fort Benton.

County Attorney Steve Gannon said Monday officials suspect 38-year-old Daniel Paulsrud shot and killed 50-year-old Leslie Davidson at a house in Fort Benton and then turned the weapon on himself.

Paulsrud is undergoing medical treatment in a Seattle hospital. Gannon says Paulsrud's condition is unknown.

The shooting is being investigated by Fort Benton police, Chouteau County deputies and the state Division of Criminal Investigation. No charges have been filed.
