Paleontologists to gather at MSU in 2009
BOZEMAN (AP) -- Scientists interested in dinosaur eggs and dinosaur babies will gather in Montana next summer for their fourth international symposium.
The paleontologists will attend a conference Aug. 8-14, 2009, at Montana State University.
MSU paleontologist Jack Horner is known for his work with dinosaur eggs, nests and embryos.
The symposium will be hosted by Horner and MSU paleontologists David Varricchio and Frankie Jackson, with Darla Zelenitsky from the University of Calgary.
This will be the group's first meeting in the United States. Previous meetings were held in Spain, Argentina and France.
The symposium will include a keynote lecture by Horner, scientific talks, poster sessions, a banquet and field trips. Participants can travel to Egg Mountain near Choteau or take a combined trip to Egg Mountain and southern Alberta.
