Reader's Alley :

A capital idea
I attended the State Capital Band concert in Memorial Park last Thursday evening. The weather was perfect, the musicians were high quality and the selections played were varied. The sounds of children playing mingled with the music made for a magical evening.

Ways to fix health care
There are ways to reduce health care costs without the federal government taking over the health care of all American citizens.

Facelift from RMDC
When I went out on my front porch just before 8 a.m. April 19, I was greeted by the happy, smiling faces of men and women volunteers of the Rocky Mountain Development Council. They went right to work scraping off the old paint and painting the window sill, frames, doors and trim of my house and both the front and back porches. Being a two-story house this was a big job. They worked cheerfully all day.

Canine gratitude
My husband and I would like to extend a warm thank you to Sheriff Leo Dutton, Police Corporals Flink and Zander, and the city/county dispatchers for their helpfulness with our dog situation on the afternoon of July 4.
