UGF men's basketball signs recruit

GREAT FALLS (AP) -- University of Great Falls men's basketball coach Steve Silsby has announced the signing of guard Nathan Bailey of Rosalia, Wash.

Bailey averaged 12 points, four rebounds and four assists per game as a senior at Rosalia High in 2007. He attended Eastern Washington University for the past two years, but did not play basketball.

Silsby says Bailey will bring quickness and play-making ability to the Argo backcourt.

MSU Northern signs 3 transfers

HAVRE (AP) -- Montana State-Northern football coach Mark Samson has announced the signing of three transfer players.

The Lights have added wide receiver Brandon O'Brien from the University of Kentucky, safety E'Lester Queen of Peru State University and Dondre White, an offensive lineman from Laney Community College.

Samson says he expects all three players to have an immediate impact on the team.

O'Brien is from Orlando, Fla., and has four years of eligibility remaining after redshirting at Kentucky and then serving in the Marine Corps.

Queen is from Oakland, Calif., and played as a freshman at Peru State.

White is a high school teammate of Queen's and was an all-state player on both the offensive and defensive lines in high school.
