Freshman Michah Maymia threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Colton Woods with six seconds left to boost Montana Western to a 35-31 win over visiting Eastern Oregon Saturday to highlight Fontier Conference action.
Eastern Oregon trailed 28-24 when freshman quarterback Chris Ware, marched the Mountaineers 61 yards and hit Kirk Miller with an 8-yard touchdown pass for a 31-28 lead with 43 seconds left.
Woods drove the Bulldogs 70 yards in six plays for the winning score.
The teams combined for 35 points in the fourth quarter.
In the other conference game, Casey Peters threw for 456 yards and three touchdowns as Rocky Mountain beat Montana Tech 27-22 to snap a 16-game losing streak to the Orediggers.
Peters completed 36 of 56 passes and wide receivers Toby Rundle and Brian Guisti combined for 24 catches for 284 yards and three touchdowns.
Former Helena High standouts Matt Komac and Alex Grezas combined for two touchdown passes for Montana Tech, which plays at Carroll College Saturday.
Komac passed for 209 yards and two touchdowns. Grevas caught five balls for 111 yards and two TDs. Drew Savage rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown.
Around the NAIA, No. 2 Sious Falls beat Hastings, 30-17, No. 3 Missouri Valley beat William Jewell College 44-17 and No. 5 Saint Francis beat Taylor University 55-7. No. 5 Old Dominican lost 17-16 to Wisconsin-Oshkosh on a field goal as time expired.
