Sports in the Capital City came to an end even before they began on Tuesday when the Crosstown tennis and dual track meet between Bozeman and Capital High were cancelled due to threatening weather.

Forecasts called for a high temperature of 42 degrees -- 34 wind chill -- and a 60 to 80 percent chance of rain or snow.

While the day turned out to be particularly more mild than was expected, the events were cancelled in the morning.

Tracksters will still get a chance to compete this week with the Coaches Meet running Thursday at Vigilante Stadium.
