Carroll College head football coach Mike Van Diest announced three more signings for the defending NAIA national champion Fighting Saints recruiting class.

"We are excited to add these three players to our freshman class. They have a great upside and potential in the future here at Carroll," said Van Diest.

The recruits are:

- Chris Baker is a 5-foot-11, 180-pound safety from Seton Catholic High School in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Baker was an All-Region selection at defensive back and led his team in tackles and interceptions. He also returned punts and kick-offs. Baker is a three-year letter winner in football and baseball. He is a member of the National Honor Society and carries a 4.0 GPA. Chris was also recruited by Western New Mexico University, Panhandle State and the University of Oklahoma.

- Devlin Afusia is a 6-1, 240-pound offensive and defensive lineman from Diamond High in Anchorage, Alaska.

Afusia is a two-year letter winner in football and track. The past season he was named co-captain and earned honorable mention as a defensive end for the Cook Inlet Conference. He also played in the Alaska Shriners All-Star game. He was recruited by Western Oregon and MSU-Northern.

- Ryan McCormick is a 5-11, 185-pound linebacker from Fallon High in Fallon, Nev.

McCormick has lettered in football, golf and wrestling during his years at Fallon High. He was named honorable mention all-conference as a linebacker this past year. He also played fullback. His brother Tom played for the Fighting Saints from 1989 to 1992.
