Two former Capital High all-state standouts were named Frontier Conference Football Players of the Week Monday.
Kyle Samson, a junior quarterback at MSU-Northern was named Offensive Player of the Week while brother, Marc Samson, was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Kyle was 13 of 18 for 177 yards, one touchdown and one interception. On the ground, he rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries.
Marc, a sophomore defensive back at MSU-Northern, had seven solo tackles, five assisted tackles, one interception returned 47 yards for a touchdown and returned four punts for 42 yards.
Kyle and Marc were guided to the 37-19 win over UM-Western Saturday by their father Mark Samson, MSU-Northern's head coach. As a former Capital head coach, Mark led three Bruin teams to the Class AA state championships.
Jens Jensen from Montana Tech was named Special Teams Player of the Week after recovering two blocked punts to lead Tech over Rocky Mountain College 26-18.
