Carroll's Jolene Fuzesy finished her college career Saturday afternoon as the most accurate 3-point shooter in the history of college basketball.
Fuzesy, of Malta, connected on 464 of 899 3-point attempts for a 51.6 percentage. She moved ahead of Scott Martin of NCAA Division II Rollins College, who connected on 236 of 460 for 51.3 percent of his 3-pointers.
Fuzesy fell just short of the all time record for made 3-pointers by a women's basketball player. Her 464 are just three off the record set by Kiely Schork of NAIA Division I Loyola University (La.) from 2003-2007. Schork took 1,382 3-point shots in her career good for 33.8 percent.
