"We were in control and kind of let them back in," Saints coach Amy Heuiser said. "They had a great crowd and starting hitting the ball really well. We kept our intensity through the rest of the match."
Four Saints finished with double-digit kills, led by Tiffany Rochelle's 19. Lena Mortensen and Natalie Soloman had 16 apiece and Rosie Meyn added 14.
Amber Miller had 19 digs for Carroll to go with 62 assists and a pair of service aces.
"Tiffany Rochelle had a really great night in the middle, and Amber Miller had a great night setting for us," Heuiser said.
The Lights dropped to 10-11, 5-4.
"They're a tough team. They're a team any given night who might put it together and play great," Heuiser said of Northern.
