Frontier Conference names football players of the week

Two Carroll College football players and one Montana State-Northern player were named Frontier Conference football players of the week, the league announced Monday.

Montana State-Northern's quarterback Kyle Samson, a junior from Helena, was named Frontier Conference football offensive player of the week.

Samson rushed for 29 yards and two touchdowns.

He was 16 of 29 in passing for 247 yards and no interceptions.

Carroll College's Phil Lenoue, a sophomore defensive end, was named the defensive player of the week.

Lenoue had four solo tackles, one and a half quarterback sacks for losses of 11 yards and one tackle for a loss of 15 yards and eight assisted tackles.

Also from Carroll, Ben Chaet was named special teams player of the week.

Chaet, a junior kicker from Helena, had seven kickoffs for 410 yards with four out of the end zone. Chaet also had four punts for 181 yards for an average of 43 yards per punt.
