WHITEFISH (AP) -- Carroll College is the preseason favorite of the Frontier Conference football coaches to repeat as league champion.
The Saints are ranked second nationally in the NAIA coaches poll.
Carroll, which has won the past nine consecutive league titles and five of the last seven NAIA national championships, received five first-place votes and 25 points. Montana State-Northern was second with one first-place vote and 21 points.
Eastern Oregon was ranked third with 17 points, followed by Montana Tech with 13. Montana Western and Rocky Mountain were tied for fifth with seven points.
