OMAHA, Neb. -- The Carroll College Saints got their third straight win Friday, defeating Hastings College 3-0 behind a pair of Valerie Feltz goals and a clean sheet by goalkeeper Katie Beall.
Beall managed her second shutout this season, bringing the Saints to 3-0.
"It's great to get your first road win," said Carroll head coach Dave Thorvilson. "It's great to be 3-0 at start of a young season."
The Saints dominated the game, outshooting Hastings 15-5. Thirteen of Carroll's shots were on goal versus Hastings' three.
Feltz was in on all three goals, assisting Jenni Annicchiarico to start the scoring for the Saints. It was Annicchiarico's fourth goal of the year.
Feltz took over the next two, assisted by Katie Smith on the first and Jackie Hunthausen on the second. The goals brought Feltz's total to three on the year.
Carroll scored all of its goals in the first 25 minutes of the game.
"We came out strong and did what we needed to do," said Thorvilson. "In the second half, we kind of let down."
"We've gotten some impressive goals from our forwards," he added. "We're starting to play as a team. The important thing was to come away with a win."
The Saints return to the field Sunday at 12 p.m. to face Bellevue College, also in Omaha.
Thorvilson said both Hastings and Bellevue will visit Helena for games with the Saints in the next two years.
"It's a chance to play some good teams," he said.
