PHOENIX (AP) - The San Francisco Giants traded first baseman Damon Minor to the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday for minor league pitcher Mike Wilson.
Minor was batting .234 with eight home runs and 21 RBIs in 37 games for Triple-A Fresno. He hit three homers Sunday against New Orleans.
Minor batted .229 with 13 homers in 112 games over parts of three seasons with San Francisco but did not make the big league roster out of spring training this year. He will join the Phillies' Triple-A team at Scranton Wilkes-Barre.
Wilson, a 22-year-old right-hander, was 2-2 with a 3.93 ERA in nine games, including six starts, for Double-A Reading. The 6-foot-7, 235-pound pitcher will join San Francisco's Double-A affiliate at Norwich.
The Giants opened a three-game series at Arizona on Monday night.
