BUTTE -- The Carroll College women's basketball team used an oustanding first half to garner a 68-53 win over Montana Tech Saturday.
The Saints outscored the Orediggers 40-16 over the first 20 minutes and were never threatened after that point.
Carroll coach Shawn Nelson said, however, his team wasn't as consistent in the second half.
"From a team standpoint we had a great first half," he said. "In the second half we completely lost focus and made a lot of mistakes. We did a lot of things that we probably shouldn't be doing at this time."
The Orediggers outscored Carroll 37-28 in the second half.
Laci High scored 15 points to lead Carroll.
Jolene Fuzesy added 10 for Carroll.
Montana Tech was paced bu Adrea Thomas' 13 points. Kimber Peters added 11.
Carroll will return home to play Rocky Mountain College next week at 6 p.m.
